Programs

Beginner Level Swim Lessons offer an introduction to water skills and are designed for children that are at least 4 years of age. This class introduces swimmers to the basic skills that serve as the foundation for future skills and water competency (the basic skills needed for water safety).

Skills to be taught:
- Entering the water independently.
- Traveling through the water while bobbing.
- Retrieving submerged objects.
- Gliding on front and back.
- Floating on front and back independently.
- Changing positions from face-down to face-up independently.
- Recovering to a vertical (standing position) independently.
- Combined and alternating arm and leg actions while swimming with assistance and independently for 3 body lengths.
